Andy Asava is SVP, Enterprise Channel Sales for GENBAND. Andy brings over 21 years of Unified Communications, Cloud, Security, Enterprise Applications and Wireless Mobility experience. At GENBAND, Andy drove a landmark agreement with Avaya to acquire essential IP, software and people to properly support the CS-2100 large-scale enterprise customers. Andy established the Partner Advantage program that incents channel partners to rapidly create and convert funnels. Prior to GENBAND, Andy was with Sipera Systems, a Unified Communication Security company, as the VP of Worldwide Sales and Business Development. Andy spearheaded the successful sale of Sipera into Avaya. Prior to Sipera, Andy was with Nortel Networks for 16 years. At Nortel, Andy served as the trusted advisor to the top 100 global wireless carriers. Andy further expanded his global experience by being an ex-pat in Hong Kong for 3 years and Paris for 3 years. At Nortel, Andy held a variety of roles from CTO, VP Business Strategy, PLM, Business Development, Marketing and R&D. Andy has an MBA from University of Dallas in International Management. He also has a Masters and a Bachelors in Electrical Engineering from University of Michigan. He attained Product Development Leadership certification from Carleton University. Most recently, he was the Adjunct Professor at University of Dallas teaching business-to-business marketing.
