I believe advancements in real time communications software will parallel with advancements in browsers, devices and the proliferation of bandwidth, and will drive much change in the economic value in the communications industry. The go to market models to take advantage of this will follow and drive new channel and reseller models.
I no longer use the word “Channel Reseller” – we prefer “Channel Partner.” We see that the smart partners we go to market with are closer to the end customers and their businesses. Our partners serve hundreds of thousands of businesses, from small to large. These companies are very often the ones creating the future and growing the economy.
They are also entrepreneurs and the kinds of people who love to learn about new things, and engage with our partners to understand what they can be doing differently and better – more contextually and creatively – to grow their businesses.
The “use cases” inspired and supported by WebRTC are truly incredible. While WebRTC now unlocks the ability to deliver RTC through the browser. In the future, our partners will have the freedom to create their own valuable new RTC applications via our cloud platform.
I’m delighted to share this link to UC Strategies’ website and a podcast and transcript of an important conversation held by several folks, my friend Phil Edholm, the WebRTC guru Tsahi Levent-Levi and Kevin Kieller. Thanks Dave Michaels for putting this together – it’s a thoughtful dialogue for partners working on their own visionary strategies to enjoy.
